Try not to wallow too much in feeling sorry for myself, sometimes its really hard but you have to keep a posotive spin on things. If things are going wrong, try thinking about all the things that are going right instead.... think about the people you love, the people who love you.

Think about the things that you enjoy most. Whether it's to take a walk or a drive some place. Read a book , take a bath, write a poem, do some crafts, go bowling.
Take some "me" time and I think you will find that you start feeling a little bit better about yourself and the situation. Also think about someone close to you that maybe you can talk to, that's what friends and family are for and usually they are good at cheering you up and making you feel better. Just a thought ; )

I call up my best friend and go out for a drink and just have a really good chat. We are really close and can talk about anything and everything. We're always there for eachother and no matter what's happening in eachother's lives, just talking about it and listening to the other's suggestions and ideas for sorting the problem out really helps. She always cheers me up and can make me laugh no matter have bad the situation is. Would be lost without her!!

Have a day to yourself where you pamper yourself... have a lie in til late, get up, go and treat yourself to a hair cut or facial or even some new clothes, then head home, have your favourite food, have a long hot bath with the lights out and candles lighting, and then pamper yourself some more!!! Make sure that this day is for you and you only... it'll help to relax and forget your worries for atleast one day anyway!!!

I do one of three things.

1. Go out and get blind drunk with friends and have a really good laugh.
2. Go to a football (soccer) match, and most likely end up getting arrested for fighting (again) - not something im desperately proud of to be honest.
3. SHOP! yes men like retail therapy too ;)

Try to think about all of the good things in your life. Remember that things will always get better. Until then, spoil yourself with some chocolate =)

i started volunteering with disabled and AIDS victims. first it takes your mind off your own problems to concentrate on someone else. second it really gives you a new perspective. your problems don't seem so bad in comparison. third it makes you feel better to help other people. sadness like you describe is from selfishness and the only cure is selflessness. good luck!

We all get like that sometimes but you have to try and get back on track before you go into freefall. I go shopping or meet my friends for a chat. A problem shared is a problem halved. Good luck.

well usually I take a really long bath or something and unhook the phone... just do whatever would make you feel better at that exact moment in time, not what would change your life or anything... just small things.
