I have worked with a real head-case who I'm sure we'll get to read about in the papers. He is a bricklayer, from Southampton, Hampshire, in his thirties, obssessed with death-metal music and knives, drinks to excess, smokes dope and takes cocaine. His character is two trains, a long bus ride and a twenty minute walk away from the town of 'Stable'. He went into a mentalist rage when I'd said that Eric Clapton was a damn good guitarist... Well, he is, isn't he? He associates with another much quieter alcoholic/drug-binger (smokes crack at work, and drinks five cans of strong lager before driving home) he works with, who has connections with the criminal fraternity, and has been asking the quiet guy repeatedly to get him a gun, so he "can feel what it is like to kill someone".
He has squared-up to most people he works with, even though no-one wants any trouble with him.

What do I do? I'll try the 101 number for the police, but I doubt they'll do anything.

I can imagine how you must feel this guy must be reported, if you didn't say anything to the police and he did kill someone, then you would have it on your concience forever. Even the fact that he is drinking so much before driving is a serious offence and the police could maybe get him on this to start with. But I do urge you to report him to whoever you feel would listen. We have more than enough nutters in our world so the more we can do to stop them the better. Even maybe write a letter detailing all you know, but send it to maybe the "Commissioner" or whoever is in charge over there and not just any constable.

Gosh that sounds like nothing to unusual here in Texas. Thing is here it isn't difficult to get a gun. Those nuts are everywhere. It is hard to know from across the ocean if he is noise or real. My former husband was a homicide detective for many years. People kill each other for just staring. One guy was selling fake crack and my husband told him you are going to get killed if you keep doing it. Well sure enough happened. He surely doesn't need a gun to kill that's what seems like noise to me. I have a vacation home on a small island in a small town. Well my house was broken in to but the police knew who did it. Before they had a chance to prove it he was killed with a knife.

He has asked someone to get him a gun, that a criminal offence, he has stated he wants to kill, that is a criminal offence, he is driving under the influence of drink, that is a criminal offence, he is driving under the influence of drugs, that too is a criminal offence, that is at least 4 forms of criminal offence for you to report to the police alone, I would suggest you go sooner rather than later before someone you know ends up been splashed across a headline in a newspaper because of this criminal.

Go to the police and raise an adult protection report as he has stated that he wants to kill. Other suggestions are
ring crimestoppers (anonymous)
Move
get a new job
get the gun yourself first

Stay well away from him, this guy sounds like he's ready to explode at any time. He sounds really volatile and the kind of person that will take anyone down with him. go to your local police station and tell them what you know, or it might be too late if you don't....

oh my god- you read about these people but you don't really think they exist- I would tell the police if you seriously think he is a danger to others!!- and keep out of his way!
Also couldn't somebody send an anonymous note to the boss- surely being "out of it"on a building site is dangerous and would null and void the company insurance!!

you should report him to your boss as he is obviously under the influence of drugs at work, they may drug test him and hopefully sack him,it no point telling the cops as what evidence do you have and they could just think your a psycho.Keep away from him and try to avoid conversations best you can.

You really need to report this guy to the Police- hate him to succeed with his mission to get headlines and sure you don't want to be the one sharing them with him!
