Yes, I'm a bloke and I am bi polar, it's a chemical in balance in the brain that means that i go from being very very depressed not getting out of bed and cr*p like that, to being on top of the world off my face happy and very 'trippy' and back again, I have to take anti depressants and other stuff to keep my mood stable... No fun trust me, If you think that you have a problem like this then go to your doctors and talk with them, also if you can talk with a friend that you can trust that good but you still need to go see the GP, I waited for a long time to get help and well it get real bad... oh and things like recreation drugs can bring on mental illness in some people and alcohol acts as a depressant.

Anyone can be bi-polar, male or female. Find out if you have or had any relatives with the disorder, a lot of it is genetic. Secondly, visit a doctor if you are truly concerned about this. This can run tests to find out for sure.

Yes my son has it.
Its not that you become bi polar its just when it starts to show and how you deal with it.
Seek professional medical advice if you have it. It is nothing to play around with.

Actually, bipolar disorder is found equally between men and women. You don't "become" bipolar. It is usually diagnosed in young adults, but can be obvious in very young children, and sometimes doesn't "show up" until much later in life. How do i know? I am a guy and I was diagnosed with it almost twenty years ago.

Up one day, down the next. If this is a constant thing with you, then there is a good chance you're bipolar.
