Yes, Revelation tells us in detail. First people get fed up with religion. It calls it Babylon the Great the mother of the harlots.
Because religion is in bed with the political leaders.
Then he puts it into their heart to get rid of religion blameing it for everything that is wrong with the world. To do this completely the governments turn everything over to the United Nations.
Which will shortly turn on religion, all religions.
The United Nations the small horn will rule for one hour or a short time. While it is ruling it will destroy religion. Called the great tribulation. Before everyone is dead that believes God will step in and save his people for being murdered. By destroyng all the governments and establishing Jesus as king of the world.

First the sun will rise from opposite side, the people behaviours become stone age. There will no mercy and kindness. At that time someone want to believe in the One and Only God, God never accept it.This world will become full with non-believers.
At that time a sharp and low voice will appear but it will become louder and louder.Because of this voice all lives will terminate. This is first step of the end of the universe not only our world.

If the world is going to end there is nothing we can do about it .
We have several choices ,
# 1 we can Nuke each other because we can`t get along
# 2 we will be hit by an Asteroid
# 3 The sun will explode .
Whatever way it goes it is out of our hands .

First off I like your question it's a very good one. You know it's something that i often think about. The world has gone a little mad. It really scares me. The violence is ridiculous. I wish I knew really but if the world would end before it was time for me to die I think AIDS will do it.

if someone know - surely he wants to die...
it is the sme psychological question - to tell or not to tell a sick man that he will die soon...

It will end as we know it at the end of the 7-year tribulation period when Jesus returns to reign and rule the "new earth". God will renew this whole universe at that time. But it will never actually end once and for all. That's what eternity is. Read the book of Revelation in the Bible.

Boy did you stir up a hornet's nest. No one really knows how it will end, though there are many beliefs on the subject. For a number of scenarios, go here:

It's not going to end during our lifetime - so don't worry about that.
The world will end when the sun explodes...or implodes, whenever that is - which I think is scheduled for (estimated) 4 billion years from now.
Now, a better question - will the human race wipe itself out before then? During our lifetime? Probably not. We may see a catastrophic event that wipes out a good deal of it, but humans are highly evolved and our race will survive.

As the sun's luminosity increases, at some point the earth's oceans will boil off and we will look a bit like the way Venus looks now.
