Becareful of those spiders. I hate them too. It is huge problem because they like to crawl on your face when the lights are out and you feel so terrified and you can't sleep because you keep thinking about the spiders crawling all over you and you sweat with fear and the fear grows and grows keeping you up all night long with the lights on and it is as if you can never sleep because those spiders keep crawling all over you. It sucks and I called pest control but that didn't really take care of the problem at all. Maybe less spiders but they were still there waiting for you to sleep. teasing you and crawling on your arms, legs, and feet from underneath your blanket.

Its called ARACNOPHOBIA
I've had it for 49 years (and I just turned 60).
This may sound childish, but if you have a good nitelite in your bedroom it might help. I have one, at least that way it's never completely dark. and when you open your eyes you won't see shadows.
My phobia started when my family moved to Mexico, and we had to fumigate our garden because of all the different bugs...
Everything from tarantulas, black widows, to venomous centipedes (giant size) and scorpions.. At twelve I started having nightmares, always the same thing, In the dream I would awaken in my bed and see a huge spider climb up the sheet toward me... Then I would really wake up, usually with a screech, and often jumping out of the bed. I had the same nightmare intermittently until I was nearly thirty, and had my two children. I did manage to dominate the phobia so as not to pass it on to my children.. I dominated my phobia by reading and studying up on insects as much as possible, And now I can handle most spiders as long as they are not too near to me... But I still need the light at night, and I still can't kill the darn things unless it's with a spray, which I usually empty on 'em from a distance. Once they are dead I can sweep them up and dump them in the toilet, but I can't put them in the trash bin....

You are like a lot of us. I learned a few things that help. Get a canister vac so you can suck them up (I gave this job to my son) keep the corners clean, in the fall put a towel in front of the doors so they can't crawl in, caulk around all the pipes coming in the house, and make your bed every morning so when you get in bed you know they are not in your bed.
