and an afterlife.
The sexual aspect is just a physical interaction of two beings of a like species. If it is not for pro-creation, it is for recreation! Nothing wrong with a little recreation.

Sexual orientation is natural and can't really be controled. But that doesn't mean that we don't have free will. We also can't control race, gender, height--lots of different things about us. Free will has to do with what we do, who we are, and why we do it, not what we are. There are things about ourselves beyond our control, but that does not mean that there are no things that we *can* control. Difference between humans and other animals? Animals generally act just on instinct and impulses. Humans can plan ahead, reason logically, and make more complex decisions. We have less instict and impulse because we can think about how to deal with situations and more easily learn from experiences (or, even more unique to humans, learn from the experiences of other people or even animals) to deal with the same or similar situations better in the future.

Some people argue that homosexuality is wrong because it isn't "natural." That term is not really clear to begin with, but seems to mean that it is only humans who do it. If animals do it too, then it IS natural because it's found in the natural world.
That answers part of your question anyway.

A problem with your thesis is that Animals do not Choose to be Homosexual - they just are. If you can understand this then you can take the big leap to: Humans do not Choose to be Homesexual, they just ARE.

The link you provided did not work. However in general....
Newsflash: Humans *are* animals. What makes you think we are so different from all of the other species that evolved on this blue marble?

It proves that homosexuality has an extremely strong genetic component, and as recently in our evolutionary history as the great apes with whom we share a common ancestor.

This is meant to be funny. Humans can pay for sex, wipe our selves after evacuating our bowels, and drive cars to name a few.
Some people are just born homosexual. The bible doesn't cure it. Spring break might make them bi.

it implies that humans and apes share a common primate ancestor. that's why incest is still prevalent among humans since our immediate primate relatives and distant primates ancestors practiced it. but for humans it's wrong. ignore those who say evolution is wrong. evolution explains all of humans nasty behaviour, which modern apes still practice.

Perhaps this implies that homosexuality is just as natural as breathing, eating, sleeping, etc...
