I'm watching a programme about catalogue brides at the moment, and I guess that's much the same thing, because they have to marry them quick before their temporary visa run's out. It's personally not the thing for me, I'd *never* do it...but some old saddo's who want the chance to marry a young girl, would quite happily pay for a girl to be sent over from Russia, and then marry her quick. As for the girl, she's probably glad to get away from her run-down country, so will go ahead and marry an old crusty bloke, regardless of how she feels about it.

However, if you've ever spoken to someone who's husband/wife had an affair, you might have heard them say "I married a stranger", so maybe we all marry strangers, and only some of us are lucky enough to ever find out!

NO WAY. no amount of money would get me up the aisle with a stranger, don't believe in divorce even though it happens time and time again. i got married 12 weeks ago to a wonderful man, but the week leading up to the wedding i was wondering if it would last forever and asking my self if we would stay happy together (as the day we fell in love) for the rest of our life's. i couldn`t eat, couldn`t sleep and was snapping like a crocodile but as i say i`ve been married 12 weeks now and loving every minute of married life i know i have made the right decision.

fair question. It would appear a lot of women and men do that exact thing, and expect the new husbands / wives to change their ways Not going to happen. goes up the aisle a pork chop does not come back down prime rib

Depending on the stranger. Sometimes you can meet a total stranger and have complete chemistry. The person you been with your whole life also, can be a complete stranger to you. So, that answer would vary if you asked me.

no, unless that total stranger turned out to be Kelly Brook, in which case, you couldn't march me fast enough down that aisle and have the quickest wedding in the world!

I've done it before (used to work in the supermarket, and had to take people to the correct aisle when they couldn't find something in the store!)

I virtually did, I only knew him for 9 months before we married. It did not last long.

i think, that unless you live with someone before marriage, you pretty much do take a total stranger up the isle when you marry them!!
