Nonsense!

Even deep love can be chilled by a large enough shock.

And anything or anyone that we have truly ceased to love, we can never love again (la Rochefoucauld's "Maxims.")

It's hard to believe, and very unfortunate, but love can die overnight.

Just as much as you wake up and decide that you want to have a different cereal. Or start doing things you never did.

It is a choice you make.

"BUT".....as true as that is, it's true that you will regret letting it go and could very well miss it at some point in the future.

Hope your heart has not been broken. Or that you have woken up yourself and realized that you are not in love anymore. Whatever the case, I wish you all the best in life...but more so in LOVE again.

Someone in love is deeply committed to a relationship. This usually doesn't change overnight. We learn to overlook the little issues through patiece and understanding. However, love is built upon trust and when trust is shattered, the situation can change dramatically and quickly. Cheating on the one you love is the prime reason people wise up quickly and fall out of love.

If one has been in love very deeply I don't think it matters how many years but no the love doesn't just die over night.

Of course it doesn't or shouldn't. Otherwise the person could not have loved that deeply, and may even have swayed during the relationship if the partner can be forgotten overnight.

Yes, this is true, or at least it was for me.

It once took me 6 years to get over the love of a woman. I did not date or even look at another woman for all of those years.

Oh yeah! I don't think it can ever die if it is true love. I feel that you will always have a special place in your heart for that person.
