Over 4000 Spanish soldiers died while prisoners of war on English prison ships in New York Harbor, in the American War of Independence. Out of the 7000 there were over 4000 Spanish soldiers fighting for American independence. Most of the others were Rebel Americans.

the Buffalo Soldiers is a name givin by Native Americans to blacks serving in the US Army in the western frontier back in the mid to late 1800's.

as for the spanish revolutionaries, i dont know.

The Buffalo soldiers were Black soldiers who served on the Western frontier after the Civil War. They got that name from the Indians who thought their hair resembled the coat of a buffalo.

Buffalo soldiers were African soldiers, the others were Spanish soldiers that fought in the American revolution, also french fought in the revolution against the British.
