There is one other thing I would like to ask about animals and souls.

Take the example of pigs. We eat pigs which are intelligent animals. I have an especially astute pig named Gordon. Gordon has mounted my leg as I type this email. (pause) He is now back out in his trailer. Looks like another question, Gordons leg shagging, I am thinking about what this means in terms of sinning. But right now lets get the spiritual issue of the possibility of his soul out there.

Some of you think the pigs have souls, and some of you dont.

If they have souls, then the pigs may go to heaven. God may call the pigs to heaven.

So help me here: what is it about pigs that means humans are so much superior to them that ethically, in Gods eyes, we can eat them?

Or is God only calling them to heaven for the purposes of bacon, barbequing and whatnot?

We're just doing our part to get the pigs to heaven sooner so there'll be bacon ready when we get there. ;-) BTW, please ask you know who to SAVE some pickled pigs feet for me.

First, we need to correct some mis-conceptions.

1. Heaven and Hell are only conditions we make,
while we are in our "particle stage."
Example - where we are now.
Death puts us into our quantum stage, which is
a void without time or space.

2. God is not an energy form. God is the forces
that interface with quarks to make creation.
God only writes the genetic code up to the
point of water. Living creatures that come from
water, write their own code. Eventually, we live with
that code that we write. This is God's judgment for
us.

3. Everything in creation is an energy form that spins
around it's own genetic frequencies. That includes
pigs as well as people. Whether people eat pigs, or
pigs eat people is not a Godly decision. Every species
creates and adapts to it's own conditions.
If you think there is an injustice here, don't eat pigs.
Veggies, milk and fruit are better for you, anyway

Pigs are not made in God's image, for starters.

The commandment to not eat that which is cloven hoof was for health and had nothing to do with the pig going to Heaven or otherwise.

I don't eat pork because I think the same or similar rules of health apply today and that the Old Testament is not entirely void.

I don't know why I am answering this question. You have some false reasoning here and I usually try to avoid those questions... so, there it is... perhaps God wanted me to answer. I don't know.

oh, come on now! I used to have pet pigs also. They are very smart, but I have never seen an anointed pig. Animals do not have a soul, they are not a spirit, so they will not be held accountable like us "humans". So, unless God just wants them in heaven they will not be making an appearance. I wish animals did go to heaven, I feel bad about leaving my dogs here when I go! Who knows? God wants us to have the desires of our hearts.

Interesting, but God told the Jews not to eat of the pig, and several other animals I don't recall. Unclean.
As for animals going to heaven, read revelation, especially where "God will pitch his tent with mankind and dwell forever on the earth".
Also recall, "God will destroy the evil, and the meek shall inherit the earth"

Animals were given to man for man's benefit to be used wisely and prudently. They are for our meat and our clothing and our shelter but to not be used wastefully or carelessly. Yes, they have souls but that doesn't mean we can't touch them. God sanctified all things for our use and enjoyment. In the meantime, we have to husband them with all care. We will not be held guilty for using the animals according to our need. We will be held guilty for misusing or abusing the animals. Originally, pigs were considered unclean and not eaten by the Hebrews. At the atonement of Christ, the unclean stigma was removed.

LOLOL Barbequing them ?? ewww haha. This is one aspect of Christianity that I am puzzled by... why is the Holy Text can be RE-interpretted when it suits their purpose, but when it doesn't its called blasphemy.

( elsewhere someone posted ) eg: Thou Shall Not Kill, Bible did not say thou shall not kill humans only. If one part of the text MUST be taken literally, why not EVERY part of the holy book? The ancients did not eat pork for it is considered unclean according to the text, how come modern christians can?

Ah, but what KIND of pigs? Your pig shags, my guinea pig performs tricks and gets rewarded with carrots. The meaning of all this? I have no idea. Regardless, my guinea pig is nicer than your skanky old hog.
