Hi,

I know in this digital age a lot of the "good" cameras are disappearing.

I have seen some questions on digital Polaroid cameras but I have not seen real Polaroid Cameras questions around... are this old cameras with us any more?

Are they still making them?
If I decided to buy one which one is the best one?
Would it be worth to buy one?
Is the Polaroid paper being sold still?

Take care!!

Despite their financial difficulties Polaroid is still around, and there is still a market for Polaroid film, though I personally prefer using Fujifilm instant film based on their cheaper pricepoint and quality. Additionally Polaroid still makes cameras and sells licences to camera companies who wish to make polaroid backs for their professional film cameras. As to which camera is the best, just check out polaroid.com yourself to see which camera fits you the best.
As far as polaroids being worth buying, well digital cameras do provide instant gratification but Polaroid takes it a step further by giving you something tangible.

Yes. We use Polaroid cameras in production all the time to take photos of actors and their costumes. The film is even sold at Staples or Office Depot.
If you like the style of Polaroid pictures, it would be worth it to own one. There's not much manual focus ability and the film per picture is actually rather expensive.
I'm not sure what the best one is...

When my father died, my daughter took an old polaroid instant camera that was his and made it hers. It actaully still works and the film is still available. There are newer models of these , but unless you really need an instant picture( like an emergency or a science project) then I would not recommend it. 10 pack film costs around $14.00 I buy it for her every once in a while maybe 2 times out of the year. We mostly use our digital camera.

They may no longer make the cameras, but they still produce the film as I have a Polaroid back for my Mamiya RB67 and many still use polaroid film for seeing if a particular shot will be actually what you want.
