It depends on your hair texture and exactly what u want to achieve. I have a Conair, cost me $15. The plate is small but I have med length hair. U should get a straightener that works for your hair texture and length. yes the more expensive ones are better or the best but it depends if u plan to invest in something u use every day, every other day, once in awhile. Not sure on a particular product. Get a cheaper one and see how u like it before making a major purchase. But if u must get to Sally's or a Beauty Supply Store for the more expensive ones. Any other are at CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, Wal-Greens. Also Revlon has a good one.

The Remington Wet2Straight is super good.
Everyone of my friends have them and so do I! I have like tiny cute curls and it used to take my 11/2 hours to blow dry and straighten but now it only takes 30 minutes and I have super long hair, like all the way to my lower back when straightened.
Its only like $35 bucks at Kmart or Walmart

all the best hair straightners ARE expensive. :( I know it sucks. But that's why the bad ones are cheap. Mine was JUST over a hundred dollars (I got a good deal). It's a ceramic (ONLY buy ceramic straghtners) Bio Ionic FR Signature Series straightner. It's called Ionic Straight - ST-33
