That is an interesting question, and you've really thought about it, I can see. But the answer will remain a mystery, unless you decide to steal some and do a science experiment on holy water...

i do no longer comprehend approximately different holy waters, in spite of the undeniable fact that, Islamic holy water (Zam Zam) is considered "holy" because of the fact it comes out of a nicely which in accordance to the Quran, replaced into dug by using Angel Gabriel a protracted time in the past. This nicely remains working and the water has never risen nor has it dropped even by using an inch ever in view that. a eu enterprise despatched a number of their superb water pumps to place this "holy" nicely located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia to the attempt to that they would be unable to drop the water point by using even an inch with their present day machines. Then they despatched their workers into the nicely (this isn't any longer that deep ~6-7 ft deep and this is basically some ft in diameter) and the worker suggested that one and all they could experience replaced into effervescent on the backside of the nicely, there is not any longer the rest down there. This replaced into performed VERY those days, around the year 2000 or so. in case you drink this water, you will experience very complete and it replaced into scientifically shown at one element by using a few lab in Europe that it replaced into examined to be the healthiest water in the international. it is why the Islamic holy water is considered "holy."

actually its pretty clean. Don't think I'm biased, I'm not Christain. I used to work at a Pool Supply and Water Treatment store and a local priest brought in some of the holy water every week to be treated so it would be safe for everyone.

I do agree that "holy" water or "normal" water are the same ordinary H20.
But we have to accept the fact that "water" is indeed in one way or another, related to almost all early religions' ceremonies or rituals on earth.
Recent studies show that "love" water and "hate" water is no more the same water, though the same H20, the enery that attach the molecule structure is a little bit but significantly different.
In another words, while water doesn't regconize religions or gods, it does understand what is..... "love".

Water, when consecrated, is for lack of a better word, "holy." The act of consecration has an impact on the water's energy. When it is used for ritual purposes, it's more than fine but I can understand your angst when it is left for anyone to use.
The same can be said when blessing food. You are consecrating it and yes. That act does impact the food's energy. Even so, I wouldn't leave it out in the sun! It will spoil!

How holy is Holy water? Depends on how you view it. The word "Holy" simply means "set apart". As in God is holy, i.e. God is "set apart" from His creation. So if it is set apart to do something specific, then it is very holy. Is it "magical" not really. Does this answer your question?

Extremely holy. In fact, it is one of the holiest things known to man. The holiness in it kills all germs, as can be proven using a microscope.

Holy water is nothing more than water. H20. Nothing special about it. In fact, it may be rather nasty, as you have implied.

If water could be made holy by man, all religions would use it.
