Person A. Life long commited athiest. lived a fairly average life, paid his taxes, never been unfaithful, helped where he could. Dies instantaneously in a car crash having just dropped of some things at a charity shop. Occasionally got drunk, swore now and then, once took a pen home from the office.

Person B. Life long petty criminal, dealt a few low level drugs. never worked. Fathered a string of children by different women he's never seen. Learns he has a terminal illness, sees the light, genuinely repents of his sins.

according to Christianity, B will go (if he accepts J.C. and blah, blah blah...)
I like the question....it shows how ludicrous their belief system is. Good people go to hell and bad people go to heaven. They actually believe that hitler would go to heaven if he accepted christ.

Person B will get reborn in Heaven as a celestial servant to serve all the people whom he has hurt.... and still maintain some godly powers. Like in a Parliment or presidency... there are the ministers ( and cabinet and senates etc ) and there are the security that guard outside the meeting hall. All serve the Govt... only some have a greater say :)

Person A will most likely get reborn as a human being to be given another chance at evolving his life again.

Jesus said, " I am the Truth, the Way, and the Life. Whomsoever believes in me shall find eternal life. In my Fathers House are many mansions. I go now to prepare a place for you there. The Bible has many stories of Sinners who repented and asked Jesus into their hearts, thus receiving Gods grace, and forgiveness of our sins. According to this the Atheist , if he had never repented of his sins and asked Jesus into his heart would be the eternal loser. I am but a man, an average guy, but I remember the day that Jesus came into my heart, and life. It was as if I had stepped out of a dark room , into one filled with light. I felt the power, felt the tingling, and felt peace come over me, instantly, and I knew this was the Truth, and He is the Way. It did not make me perfect, in fact I am far from perfect. No matter what we try to do we are sinners, but thanks to Jesus, we are forgiven. Seek and you will find the truth. Person B found the Truth, and found Life.

Find the parable of two sons in the bible might help some.

If the athiest NEVER believes then it doesnt matter hwat he does he doesn't believe. Man is not judged on works alone.

If the sinner genuinely repents his sins and not because he has a terminal illness then why doesnt he deserve to go? Forgivness is the power that athiest don't understand in faith.

If Person B loves Jesus he will go to heaven, but will be given a low level job. Heaven is not a democracy. There are plenty of Jobs to do and some people need to be in charge. Jesus has the top job then those of us who have followed him the most are on the next rung. The guy you mention will have a menial job, like sweeping out the toilets.

If there is a heavan both would make it. Though Person A didn't believe in god, God would except him even with the flaws. That also goes for Person B. I believe it doesn't matter if they believed in something different but if they at least tried to human and not evil.

Heaven is not a reward for being good.
The thief on the cross, not the Roman doing his job before it, goes to heaven.
Salvation is a free gift to whomever believes.

16know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

Person B - He repented his sins.

Why do people insist on making judgments of others.

Judgments are to be left in the hands of God.

-"Thou shalt not covenent thy neighbor"-

Person B.

The bible states " I am the way, the truth, and the life. (Jesus) No one comes to the Father except by me"

"We are saved by grace, and this by faith, not by works, so that no man may boast"

Salvation is a free gift, given without limit, to those who will accept and believe on the name Jesus Christ.
