As far as Gaia not being part of Wicca I am not sure where the other posters are coming from, perhaps they could clarify. There are some Wiccans (I would go as far as saying most) that believe that there is one Goddess and one God and the many pantheons of Goddesses and Gods are just aspects of the two. There are some that believe they are all separate individuals. There is very heated discussions between the two groups. However on both sides of the coin I know many people who work with specific deities. I my own coven there are people who work with Hecate, Pan, Flora, Gwiddion, Llew ect..

As for whether or not Gaia is what your looking for, that is up to you. In the most basic terms she is the earth mother. I would go to the library and look her up in detail there, you can also meditate on the question. These web pages are also a good start, they put it better than I can.

Sounds like she's reaching out to you, but not actually working for you. you have a few options:
A) continue to try to get her to understand what you need her help with
B) give her a bit of an ultimatum, that she has show her love for you just as you show your love for her--otherwise it is a toxic relationship and you have to let her go
C) (my personal favorite) start interviewing other applicants for the job. In dreams a name can mean nothing--she may be calling herself gaia simply because that is how you recognize her, but using that name to evoke her in the waking world doesn't work because it's not her real name and she's actually a very similar goddess, or even a powerful spirit, not a goddess at all

Belief is a personal thing, you do not go looking for a god or goddess you like the sound of you follow the god and/or goddess that you personally believe in, you learn about them yourself in texts and from other followers.

Gaia is not within Wicca, Wicca has it's own specific gods known as the Great Mother Goddess and Horned God – those within Wicca follow these gods and these gods alone, they are only taught about the specifics of these gods once they are initiated into their coven as the identities of the gods within Wicca are oath-bound.

Perhaps before calling her the goddess of your dreams you should learn more about her yourself and see if she fits to your beliefs?

Gaia is not part of wiccan belief, she is more commonly followed within Gaia worship (surprise, surprise), paganism and goddess worship, wiccan have their own goddess.

Perhaps too instead of shopping around for something you liek the sound of you should take the time to find out more about different gods and goddesses as well as about paganism and wicca as you seem to be very lost i all of this.

Gaia is the Earth. A Living Being. Everything is made of spirit.
The book of Job states,
"Ask the Earth and it will teach you,
And the birds of the air and they will teach you,
And the fishes of the sea will declare it unto you."

She just left for the airport - felt a wee bit too grounded today and decided to stretch her wings. Come back after googling for her bio. ;-)
