Daddy Longlegs are very low on the food chain, I saw a spider mutilating one once, so i squashed the spider. When i returned the Daddy long legs was feeding on the spider, haha. Nature is vicious so don't feel too bad, if you hadn't killed it something or somebody else would have.

If they are destroying your lawn which they will do if allowed to proliferate then a spray to eradicate them is sensible Otherwise they are perfectly harmless and no point in killing them as they only live long enough to breed and lay their eggs in the lovely lawn of which you are proud. These eggs will hatch and the grubs will chew away at the grass roots with unpleasant results.

I am assuming it’s in your home? I mean, I hope you wouldn’t feel the need to wander around outside looking for them to kill.
Anyway, if it’s in your home just scoop it up in a dustpan and put it outside.
