Most cancer types now have national organizations with websites. Check those websites. I'm a lymphoma survivor and the national website for lymphoma has volunteers that are willing to speak with people such as your partner. Frequently they also list local support groups.

Check with your local hospital websites as well. Or call their PR department. Most hospitals that treat cancer also run support groups.

Most hospitals have a support group that meets regular.
Check with a local hospital, or community center.

Do you have a Hospice in your area? If so, call them and they will put you in contact with their bereavement support groups. I know at our Hospice we have a support group for people who have lost a parent.

Try asking your own doctor for the info. He will have a list of available support groups, and he can advise you on how to introduce the information to your partner. And it will probably be in your own area.
