I have tried putting warm olive oil in my ear, that is ok but I don't want to have to do that forever. My doctor said my ears are full and she can't even see my ear drum. I know sounds disgusting but I have to live with it.

The doctor told me to try syringing but I said no because I did it once and afterwards a doctor told me not to do it because it might damage my ear drum and this time I went to a different doctor in the same surgery and she said to do it but I said no. I always stick the ear cotton buds in deep and go deaf for a week but I don't learn, it tickles so I do it, will have to stop that. The doctors are stupid they all tell me different things.

Carry on with the warm olive oil to soften the wax - do this twice a day for three days. Then buy some eardrops from the chemist which contain hydrogen peroxide (Otex if you're in the UK is a good one) and use them twice a day for five days. Ear syringing is not recommended these days as it can lead to infection and/or perforation of the ear-drum which is very painful. If the above doesn't work, get your GP to refer to you an ENT surgeon.

Also, don't get water in your ears as it will get trapped behind the wax - put some cotton wool in loosely while you have a shower then wipe gently around the ears to clean them. NEVER stick anything in your ears - you'll only push the wax down further.

U can't stop ear wax production. Its u r body process.
U can only clean ur ears with cotton. Don't insert cotton plug too deep so that it shud nt damage ur Tympanic membrane.
Ear wax is a natural defence mechanism in keeping away d flies and insects to go into ur ears through External Auditory Meatus.
Don't b so concerned abt it.
It may cause complications if u continue hurting ur ear always to get rid of excess wax.
If u r nt comfortable u can c a doc.

what kind of doctor is this? ?????

go to a real doctor this time and have them vac your ears out and see what the wax has in it just in case it's an infection or some reaction to allergies....

there are ways to rid the wax problem.. find out what it is you're doing...

a change of diet may work.. make sure it's a healthy one... here's a suggestion: www.mypryamid.gov and then make sure you hydrate enough during the day.

find out if you've got allergies to anything...

do you listen to loud music? do you swim alot? where is it you live? is there alot of dust?

how old are you?

are you on medications?

do you ingest alot of sugar?

you don't have to live with too much wax..

this doctor is obviously not very helpful.. time to see a specialist.. like a ear, nose and throat specialist.

you don't have to live with it. i had a wax problem for years then i changed my diet and the specialist gave me antibiotics and i forgot how but eventually my ears cleared up.. now i don't have enough wax!

:D

carry on using the warm olive oil as it helps soften the wax. If It this bothers you that much go back to your GP and get yours ears syringed, your ears are producing excess wax for a reason, your GP needs to do more test.
