ok here goes... my best friend has started dating this guy she doesn't even like just because he is popular this yr (he lost like 90 pounds and grew his hair out omg he is hot!!!) the thing is is that I have liked him since 4th grade (even b4 he was popular we r in 6th now) and now her other best friend likes him and i feel like she is gloating that he likes her and i want to tell her to shutup in a nice way and try and tell him she just isn't good enough for him! but i kno if i do than he will tell her and she will get nad at me!! and i thought that middle skool would be less dramatic than ele.!

oh ya i almost forgot! she likes his friend (austin) and i keep gettin this feeling that he likes me! so there is a chain! I like caleb (the dude), caleb likes jurnee (my bff), jurnee likes austin, and austin likes me!!! austin-me-caleb-jurnee-austin-me-caleb-jurnee.............. plz help me!!!!

well first of all that's not near as dramatic as high school. talk to him in a friend type way(don't send off to him that you like him) tell him you know your friend doesnt like him, that she only likes him because he's popular. then talk to your friend and tell her that you feel like she's pushing the fact that he's likes her more than other girls and that it's bothering you. she might be mad at you for a while but she'll get over it. if you guys are really good friends then she'll forgive you, dump him(hopefully) then maybe he'll go for you. if that doesnt happen then sorry. i tried.

Believe me it only gets worse as you get older! Life and relationships are very complicated. My advise to you is let your friend have her 'fun' for now and sit back and watch. I can guarantee you this if that relationship is not for real than it will fizzle out on its own in a while and you can than pick of the pieces and have the satisfaction of knowing you were right in the first place. But please don't confront her. Let her have her say and chase this guy. Still be her friend if you want and still like him but don't do anything. If it is meant to be than your time will come maybe next year, maybe High School, college, etc but it will if fate has its way in the mean time find someone for you and enjoy your middle school years and beyond.
