What do you mean by dodgy address? The easiest thing to do is send something with signature required by addressee. Thsi way, you are 100% certain that the person it is going to actually signs for it. Of course you pay for it, but you'll be certain.

In Britain you would be better putting the "dodgy" address on then a sender address on the back. They are pretty good. I should know I married a Postie.

Of course, adress it to their name and "General Delivery" in that zip code. At least this works in the US.
