Depending on what age you are and the state your living in, you more then likely have lots of options. You can talk to your foster parents, social worker, Guardian In'litem, the Judge, County Attonery and tell them how YOU feel. What YOU want. Those people are there to help you, to listen to you.Don't think you don't have a voice because you d
I have a close friend whos daughter is in foster care and she wan't NOTHING at all to do with her mother. She simply refuses to talk to her on the phone, visits, counseling ( with the mother).... she has remained in fostercare and now turns 18 this coming week. She has made arrangements with the foster parents to stay there with them for 2 more years while shes in college. Take your stand in what you want. Hold your chin high. Don't let the system screw you. Take advantage of it and take advantage of those people. They have the tools you need. Plant your feet in the ground and don't back down.

Well its not as simple as adoption. If your home life is unacceptable, they will continue to pull you out and stick you in foster care. Parents only get so many chances though, especially if the charges are drug related. If you don't know when you have to go home, don't keep worrying about it. Enjoy the time you have with your foster family. You can always keep in contact with your foster family. My parents are foster parents and one of their kids who got sent home calls my mom all the time. Talk with your case worker about it and see what she says. Good luck sweetie!

As long as you are over the age of twelve and I am assuming you are. You have all rights to say where you want to go. Have you talked to your foster family about how much you really like/love them and can't stand to be away from them? That would help. Also if you are to go to any hearings then you need to state your case and why you need to be left where you are at. If you are too scared to tell your original family then you need to look up a C.A.S.A. worker who will stand in your defense. That is why we are here. We are for the childrens wants and needs.

Contact you social worker and explain to her what you want if you get no where then talk to her supervisor. You also have to talk to your foster parents because they probaly are just temp foster parents which mean you can only be in their home until your mom shows she is fit to take care of you and if your mom has shown that and your foster parents are temp foster parents then aint no judge gonna let you stay there.Good luck.

i don't think u should leave ur foster parents if that's where u feel best at and if that is where they want u, but in my opinion i think it would be nice to let your other parents know that you still care for them too. Try to rationalize if possible. But if not get all the parents involved and try to work something out. I wish you the best of luck.

Stay Stay Stay. Only you know what to do there. You never have to leave your real parents for good but if you know that you are in a good place and these people will take care of you then you should stay there. There is nothing like feeling at home.

I would talk to the officials handling your case in private and tell them first to see if it's doable. If it is...talk to your foster parents and see if they will adopt you. It's your responsiblity to try and have the best life you can have to prepare you for a good life. Your original parents will understand one day.
