No, I work in customer services in an electronic retail bussiness, I often have to deal with irate customers that are not happy with technosonic tv's. Also even if you do get one that works the quality of the picture is generally not good especially on fast moving subjects such as sport. My advice would be to save up a bit more money and get a better one, it doesnt need to be some expensive sony or whatever, just check out some reviews before you buy. Goodmans are making some reasonably priced HD ready lcd's at the moment, but again they fall down a bit when it comes to sports. If you see a Philips or an LG lcd reduced to clear in any shop this would be perfect, they are both up to date with technology and dont suffer from the problems with fast moving subjects.

I just got one and its excellent.
its a rebadged Thompson lcd which argos were selling for £800 just before the summer.
picture quality is excellent, build is superb and it has lots of connection options, including HDM,I aswell as virtual surround sound. the built in speakers are more than addequate.
for £399 its a major bargain and woolworths have admitted they are loosing money on them just to get people into the shop for xmas and the launch of there new argos style catalogue service.
:)

well, in the olden days, nine years ago, there were plasma gas tube t.v.s. brilliant. came in at around 40,000 thousand pounds. then one day, they came down to 20,000 pounds, as the rich bought them, and paid the researchers backthier money, so could market cheaper, and more market for them. Then, they did a no no. They brought out all those silver Elvis type tvs, wich should have been aroun ten years ago but hey held them back for the underclass, cause then the credit card came in big style and everyone wanted abig silver t.v. So.....then, the flat screen became cheaper, under 2.000 pounds, but not perfect, as I do not know technology, but the resolution was crap, they had just mad a cheap version for the increased market...then, it got a bit better one year on, they come down to 1.550 quid, for a half decent one, but still not the same quality of resolution as the one which whas invented and should have been slower to come down in price to the cheaper market. Then....now you can get a flat screen for oooooooo299 and they are ****. My advice is wait two years, and you will be able to get the same quality that the rich guys got five years ago. Thes technitions are genius, adn to make a gas tube t.v. and flat. starting at 8.000 thousand, and to bring it into Dixons **** hole of a company for 299 is not only remarkable, but downright amazing. p.s I await some quality, in about five years....sorry, I am sensible.

technosonic? not heard of it,, but it may well be a badged up one made for say, Woolworth's by Alba/bush.. who make Goodman's, ministry of sound and other funny name products.. best way is for you to watch it working in a dark corner of the shop.. if you like the picture/sound etc, buy it,, it has a year guarantee, so you can't go wrong......
