It's never easy to say "I love you" for the first time in a relationship. You aren't really sure whether it is too soon, or how the other person feels. If someone says it to you first, and you aren't sure how to respond, that is a bit awkward as well. In a good situation, both partners will feel the same about each other, and it will only get easier by the day to say how they really feel.

I think that its one of the most powerful and wonderful phrase.
Watching the effect of telling a friend " I love you" when they do something kind, caring, nice etc.....just a little bit of magic shared.
A phrase that trips easier off the tongue the older you get. How I agonised as a teenager/early 20's how will I know, ...does he love me....
Enter the 30's and approach the big 40 and you gradually realise just how easy, important and powerful it is to say.

It is so easy to say i love you when you do not mean it and when you do you think twice because you do not know how the person will react to you, when you say these three words i love you. Saying i love you is joke when when you say it to people you do not love and you're playing the mind game.

i agree with the other answerers. if you mean it when you are saying it, it's probably one of the easiest things in the world, usually. but if you feel obligated to say it, or the other person says it to you, so you feel like you have to respond back with the same thing, i say do not say it! i remember being in relationships where the guy said i love you right away and at the time i thought it was SO special. then i remember the 1st guy who waited to tell me he loved me until he actually did, it meant so much more. it was super special! i find it very easy to say it especially to tell somebody which u dont love but if u really love e person itsa difficult to say it.so i think its an easy word when u are lying .

Its funny just looked through the answers and so many said its easy to say to someone you love.For me its the opposite.Easy to say when its a lie,much harder to admit when its true. LOVE YOU!!

i love you now how hard was that it just words but if you love someone it should be what you do to show it not what you say
