You know what? If you weren't on a "diet", you wouldn't have had the craving to begin with. If you want to lose weight, don't restrict your eating to certain foods and eliminate others totally. When you do that, you set yourself up for these cravings in which you totally overindulge and then feel guilty about it. Change your eating habits for the rest of your life, and if you want french fries, eat them, just eat a serving, not the whole bag. You can eat anything you want in moderation as long as you combine it with exercise.

Those frozen french fries always come at least partially pre-cooked. You are in essence only heating them through when you cook them at home. They already have the oil on them. So it didn't mean squat when you baked them. They still ruined your diet...and THE WHOLE BAG!? The only thing you saved yourself was the EXTRA oil that would have been added if you had deep fried them.

Thumbs down to your dieting techniques!

What you SHOULD have done is cut up a large potatoe yourself into shoestring size pieces. Placed them on a cookie sheet. Spray them lightly with a spray oil product (I DID say LIGHTLY!). Then sprinkle a bit of garlic powder and rosemary and salt and pepper over them. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, or until brown. This will save you all those processing chemicals, which are never healthy for you to consume. You won't be adding hydrogenated oil. And you get the taste of a REALLY GOOD fry!

Oh, and only give yourself a treat such as this once a week. Otherwise, you can kiss your diet goodbye.

For a diet to be effective and have serious long term results, it shouldn't be about denying yourself food, rather it should be about eating in moderation. If you deny yourself something, you're going to find out that at the end of the day/week, that's all you're going to be craving. For the plan that you seem to be on right now, yes it may have set you back a little bit, but hey, if you want french fries, have a few. Don't have a whole huge large bag of them, just have enough to satisfy your cravings. Eat slowly, it takes about 20 minutes for the stomach and the brain to get on the same page when it comes to being satisfied or full.
Eat to live, not live to eat. I know it sounds easier to do than most people think, but it is really easier to do than people think too.

Baking is much better than frying anything because you have to use fat to fry them in. They shouldn't be to bad unless you ate the entire bag at one time. Limit the amount you eat to just a handful, this should take care of your craving without ruining your hard work. Hang in there.....

You need to read the labels on everything! Don't eat anything that has more than 30 calories from fat, and try to stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup. Just watch your calories and fat on the packages and you should do ok. You also should try and not have more than 35 sugar carbs in a day, it's very hard to do, but possible!

Ooh...i admire the two....yet i might could desire to declare that baked potato wins by skill of an extremely narrow margin. i'm thinking with regard to the melted cheese, chives, bitter cream, Viscount St. Albans bits, pepper, and different distinctive yummies you could placed on a baked potato... make effective that's a huge russet potato simply by fact for baked potatoes those are fantastic!

Oh boy I love French fries, BUT they are fattening. No way around it even if you make them. Fat is Fat and you need that to fry them
