I have a 4-5 year old girl that can be sometimes a litttle obsessive about things, and constantly cries since she started jk? I guess i just need a little reassurance that this is normal. From everything i read it seems it is, but i cant help but feel its not.

Yes I certainly do not give in to her being whiny. But this is just a recent development over the past month. She is possessive over her friends, not toys. She is actually an excellent sharer. So I guess I am wondering if there are some helpful suggestions on how to make her feel more secure in her friendships so she can expand and include other children in her play circle. And positive ways to help her learn to control her emotions and not whine about everything. So far I ignore a majority of it. But I want to keep lines of communication open with my daughter and firgure out why it is shes whining?

Sounds normal, but you need to start disciplining her now so she doesn't turn into a spoiled brat like too many kids out there today♥

My daughter is five and just started kindergarten and i have to say that she sometimes picks up other kids behaviors at school....but yes it's normal....my daughter too seems picky about certain things and just whines when she doesn't get her way or when things aren't done in a timely manner...i don't give in cause it would be telling her shes the boss...It's OK to worry about it that's what make u a good parent too...

definitely is normal but you have to stop and not give into her when she whines otherwise she will become very spoiled and other children will not want to socialize with her. try working on the sharing method with her use a timer. i will play with this for three minutes then it is your turn etc. if she refuses use time out to teach the lesson that not sharing has penalties.

Share stories about moral values, sharing and caring for others and famous people who have shown acts of selflessness to your daughter. I grew up listening to stories told by my parents and teachers. That's why I was never possessive about the things I owned and I willingly shared my belongings with my friends and siblings. Telling stories to your young child could also help her to mature faster and stokes her creativity.

it's not normal or that weird because it all depends on how the parent has educated her. Or maybe she has little friends who are like that or maybe you are like that and you are giving her a bad example. Just be a little more strict, and don't fell sorry for them after a while they start to learn.

yes ma'am
all little kids are like that
including an 8 year old that i
know...she is extremely
possessive and whiny
dont worry about it
dont yell, scream, explain
to them calmly about what they did wrong
but dont yell especially that makes them
want to do it more!

Yes its normal. We have to learn to share and play fair, we are not born knowing how to do this.

No that is not normal! children at that age are well aware of what is going on. she is testing you and she is passing with flying colors. ask her what her problem is and see what you can do to fix it. she is probably trying to get your attention.
