I love christmas too!! I love the colors and the smells and the feel. I also love autumn though. I think for you, with the feel of halloween in the air and thanksgiving not far away, I think if you decorate small things (not the tree) staring november 1st, then just add the christmas tree the day after thanksgiving!! But in reality, if you love it that much, who else cares? It always looks good!!!!

girl go for it!!! Christmas is also my favorite holiday. I always decorate the day after thanksgiving, only because my family think I' crazy when I want to do it sooner, but every year I feel like carrying my Christmas tree into a spare room, so I can go in there when ever I want ,turn the tree's lights on, get a nice book, my jamis....oh! it sounds heavenly, think I will do it this year. S start decorating!! have fun, christmas is to short.

One of the things that makes Christmas so special is the fact that it comes just once a year. It would diminish the feeling if you extended the season 2 and 1/2 months early, don't you think? December 1st is plenty early and gives you 25 days to enjoy the anticipation. Christmas has been ruined for me by all the stores starting to display their Christmas stock while the weather is still summer-like. I am already tired of seeing it by December and by Christmas I'm numb.

Oh, don't listen to anybody. Do what makes you happy. If you've got the spirit now go for it. It sounds like it will take you awhile to accomplish all you want to do. You'll be done early and will have free time to volunteer at your church or with a school play, or at a veterans hospital etc. That's when you'll really get the true CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.

Whatever floats your boat.
It's your own house, do what you like. Including leaving them up all year long if you want.
I used to love Christmas too and go all out with decorating and baking and all that. I used to listen to my favourite Christmas cd's all year long too. Not anymore, but that's me. I say go ahead.

many times I wait until the day after Thanksgiving to beautify the homestead, yet I placed most of the outdoors lighting fixtures in place on any heat days i'm getting between Halloween and Thanksgiving.
