I don't know but I do it. I find myself wandering around the kitchen and open the fridge. I then return a few minutes later and do it again. I think sometimes our brain can make us not see things so we go back to see if any of our favourite things are there. 100% of the time they are not

maybe the ones that do that are not the ones that stock the fridge, for those people things do magically materialise, pity I'm not one of them cos I'm going to make a coffee and u just know I'm going to look, don't you.

You don't have a magic fridge? Maybe people are just checking if the light is still on in there & pretending to be looking for food.

Maybe they'e hoping they'll have a change of mind and feel like eating what's there. Maybe what's there will have more appeal.

Depends how hungry you are - first time I go I can't find anything I like, second time everything looks suddenly much more appetising.

it's not that i think something new will be there, just maybe i will have developed a craving for something already there...sometimes things just look more appealing the 2nd, 3rd time around

ha i do that,i think its because you have a rummage about and then think nah,i dont feel like any of that then in the hope you'll have changed your mind you go back and see if you do,sometimes i do!
