Some of my work at the moment is heavily involved with such distortions of the human body and I'm trying to judge the best way of marketing those images, but can't find anything similar on the internet, surely I can't be the only person in the world creating such images. Also if anyone knows of good places to exhibit such work it would be much appeciated.

There are actually quite a few artists working that are exploring biomorphic distortions, i.e., a torso with no head or arms, and 8 legs. At least every photo group photo show I have been to within the last few years has contained at least one person who is working in this arena. This type of work just seems to be a manifestation of classic nude abstractions such as the ones created by Edward Weston or Andre Kertez for that matter. As for the people who are doing it, unfortunately I haven't really been keeping track of their names because it is not really my interest, but just to let you know you are not alone, but nor should you give uyp. Anyhow If you live in one of the major metropolitain areas LA, NY, SF finding a group photo show is as easy as picking up artweek magazine and looking in the back of the magazine for calls for work.
