Virgin Blue is usually the cheapest, it is only a 4 hour flight and I have done it a few times. They will look after you.

I really doubt that it is $507 US dollars. There are way cheaper flights out there. try Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar.

My suggestion is: Take the train!! That should be the greatest fun. But traveling by car is great too!
