Family reunification is the reason why the governement has allowed legal immigration. Another reason is capital investenment, (its all about money) new foreign busineses giving jobs to americans who are unemployed. Also, scientific knowledge is wanted and it has been used from foreign immigrants. Ex: Albert Enstein.
Here are also some Mexicans that have contributed to science in the USA.
Camarena, a Mexican that invented the first "COLOR" TV.
Heberto Castillo, Mexican engineer, invented tridilosa.
Tridilosa is a highly light and resistant, material-efficient 3-D structure, made from steel and concrete and widely used in civil engineering. invented by the Mexican engineer Heberto Castillo.

Immigration is a natural part of humanity. Look at the globe - look at Europe and the way that they work together to get along and respect each other. American needs to get off the high horse of Anglo Superiority. Mexico needs to pull its head out and get it together!
Immigration integrates the beautiful colors of the world into one great flow of life!
Aside from the fact that immigrants have kept many a restaurant alive, toilets cleaned, and concrete poured. Immigration gave my kids a great step dad. Me the love of my life and my kids & I have a wonderful family-in-law. It has introduced me to a culture that I adore & appreciate.

This country is built by hard work, innovation, and perserverance of immigrants. There is no place in the world for illegal immigrants. They are basically criminals and no different that those committed crimes against the society.
