That which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger.
A phrase stating that so long as something isn't going to kill you you will know better and be able to fight whatever 'it' is better next time around. Be it a cold, a goal, etc.

Or if you want one to be a little bit of a joke: A comedian once said, "I always set my goals low. This way there's never too much expectation. If I over achieve my goal im in Awe! but if I just barely make it there, I'm fine with that too!"

Probably the words of Eddie Rickenbacker, who was the top American fighter ace in World War I.

Someone asked him how he could face death so fearlessly. He answered, “Of course I'm afraid---but there is no courage without fear.”

And it's true. We accomplish great things not by avoiding fear (which is only human), but by acting in spite of our fears. I think this is a very important thing to realize.

"Son, there is a lot of crawfish in this river, and sometimes you just got to go where your feet need to go."
Jelly Jam Jar Johnson said that to me before he died. He was like a father to me. He taught me how to play guitar and so much more. After his death, I joined a traveling caravan of blues musicians, then moved back to Pearl City to start a crawfish farm. I found that wasn't where it's at, so now I'm a recording artist for Magenta MOnkey Records.
