You know that the Bible says gluttony is a "sin", right?

For the rest of us, I say, eat, drink and be merry!

Churchmusicgirl - here you go.
Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, "Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags." Proverbs 28:7 declares, "He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father." Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, "put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony."

As a fellow atheist, you embarrass me.

Pride is a sin as well. By pointing out the sins of others your just as guilty as those who do nothing. I am overweight and am working on losing the weight. I'm not perfect and I won't ever claim to be perfect. I know though that I have God on my side and through Him I can do anything and with His help I am going to get to a healthy weight.

Gluttony is a sin. Being fat is not. There are lots of people out there w/ disoders that cause them to be fat, but its not their fault. Look into gluttony. Its different from being fat.

Gluttony is when you eat for the heck of it, and then get greedy about it. But its not eating a lot. Theres nothing wrong w/ eating a lot.

Get it straight.

Bless your heart! That's what we say in the South when someone shows their ignorance in public, bless your heart.
Opps, now you even have your atheist buddies upset with you over genetics. She's a French teacher Alucard, not a science major. She's also appearantly overly impressed with her own attributes. I am also guessing that she is just as intolerant of Christians as she seems to think all Christians are of atheists. Educated? Her blog goes on and on about her education, pity, none of it shows through. Bless your heart.LOL

She's obviously not talking about people with disorders. America has so many people that are over weight and they didn't get that way by just eating. It over eating, which a lot of people do, and then sloth because they don't have enough "time" to exercise because they are to busy watching wheel of fortune.

yes, so is murder, which is smoking is essentially a slow suicide. Except.... the difference is... we are all sinners... everyone of us, even christians. Since Christians have accepted Jesus, all our sins are forgiven. He died for us. I prefer to go to heaven, then enjoy my earthly sins. Eternity in Hell is a very long time..... I'm sorry you have not accepted this.... peace be with you.

I hope this is a joke Kathryn. I hope you're not deliberately making us Atheists look bad by discounting the role of genetics in body sizes.
