Fleas are not invisible. Small yes, invisible no. Fleas are about the size of a pin head while ticks are about he size of an eraser head

BTW - fleas don't flie as stated above.

The black specs you see are actually the flea's waste. You can see fleas, but they are kinda redish and very tiny and a little transparent. Very hard to kill unless you grasp it between fingernails and basically detach the head. So yes, I would say she has fleas. Ticks you can see, but they are a little more obvious, you can see the actual bug stuck to your pet. Either way, just make a trip to the local pet shop and purchase some flea/tick bath, or powder if you prefer. I would suggest getting some anti flea/tick product like Frontline or Advantage, so that you not only kill the fleas/ticks but also deter them from returning. Keep in mind that because your pet has fleas they are now all over your house, and can easily re-infest your pet after you cure her. The products I mentioned will make sure this does not happen.

yes you can see fleas. They are small and black. Maybe about the size or smaller than a grain of rice. Ticks generally stick to one spot on your dog. If they move its fleas and if they are stationary its ticks. Be very careful in the removal of ticks and get the entire tick you may want someone to help you that can show you how its done.

Advantix never worked well for me.. Try Frontline..

All the meds in the world WON'T stop fleas from being on a dog or cat...IF the house is infested! IF the dog is an indoor dog..you need to set off flea bombs in every room...there's also a carpet dusting stuff (sevin I think!?) that you can shake all over the rugs~ spray the furniture...cleaning a dog...when fleas are still present..is a waste of time...

fleas. a dog doesn't usually get more than a few ticks at a time. take him to the vet, tho, because the meds should be working...also try a flea bath, that helps after a few times

yes you can see fleas, but you do have to look. if the
black things jump from one place to another when you
try to pick one up, they are probably fleas. there are
other things, too, so a visit to the vet might be in order.

Tics are stuck in their fur and need to be removed with a tweezer. Fleas just sort of fly around them.

do these "things" engorge? if so, they are sucking blood from your dog, and they are ticks. You need to remove them with tweezers, and then either dump the tweezers or trow away, when removing ticks place them in alcohol to kill them..maybe advantix is not working try frontline plus.

fleas walk around the animals skin and leave behind black grainy kind of stuff...if it walks and there are more than one in an area it's fleas.
