When I was a barista, my boss (who had never run a coffee shop, excuse me--"ESPRESSO SHOP" --in her life) had us empty the drip coffee in the thermal carafes every hour. At home, I make a 4 cup pot of coffee for myself in the morning and drink it all day.

most of your restaurants have a 30 minute limit on their coffee. After that it seems stale to some people. Other places leave it until it is gone.. I don't drink coffee, so my taste on it would not help

I have let minds stay in there for at least one day.Due to laziness of putting it in the fridge or because it take to long to brew when I'm reday to drink a cup.
Also, I hate to waste coffee.
