What are some of the ways Churches could better serve their communities?

Truth...that is the only thing that matters. Who cares about the people, who cares about the teachings. If it is true, they why wouldn't you belong to it? Church is not a social function, it is a way of life that will lead you to happiness in the eternities. If you do not have the truth, then you have nothing.

We are to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, provide for the widow, dry up the tear of the orphan and comfort the afflicted, whether in this church or in any other, or in no church at all, wherever we find them

I like a church that has the five fold ministries in it.I also like a church that welcomes all races and teaches bible prophecy.I like on that has services three times a week and is missions minded.

teach scripture instead of subjects about "life". Then, a good program that gets younger adults trained and ready for the mission field, as well as whole families out ministering to their community.

By minding their own business would be a good start. By not forcing their religion down everyone elses throats...
Other than that, I can't be of much help because I don't go to church (Thank god (pun intended...) )

well I am looking for the only true church, one that I need to conform to, instead of the church conforming to my wants.

quit asking for money....start putting some of that money back into its community rather than using it to build bigger churches and bigger houses for the preachers and their prostitutes
