A guy has just asked me out but i don't want to go out with him. how can i say no with out hurting his feelings?

He may be tougher than you give him credit for. Just be upfront and honest. If his feelings get hurt it just shows that he has invested too much in a non-existent relationship. Someone needs to point him toward reality.
Just say, "Thanks for the offer, but I'm really not interested."

First, you consider your feelings, and if you have decided no, you just tell him no.
You have already shown that you are a sincere person, just by being concerned, so it doesn't sound like you are going to cut him up.
So, just be real, and say no. You really don't owe a reason to someone when you make a decision within the bounds of your own space.
Hold your head high, you sound like a great girl.

Just tell him the truth, that u dont want to go out with him. Believe me honesty is the best policy no matter how bad it hurts. Or just lie and tell him your kinda seeing someone and thats that

You can't really avoid hurting his feelings. But better to tell him now than to leave him hoping you will change your mind later. Another rejection will hurt more then.

tell him strait up and don't lead him on. It won't hurt his feelings too much and it is worse if you let him think you are interested and you're really not.
