i have a 2007 dodge caliber. I have a problem when unlocking my doors with the keyless remote controle. everytime i press the unlock button my lights come on and stay on for about a minute. I do not like that feature and wish to turn it on. does any one know how? I do not have the EVIS. and the owners manual does not say. Thank you

its the headlights not the interior lights.
They go on everytime i unlock the car. it says something about turning them off if i have the EVIS but i dont. but i am sure there has to be another function to change them

Its not the interior lights they work perfect its just that my headlights turn on everytime i unlock the car. they go off after a minute or so. But i dont want them to go on at all. I checked the owners manual forward and backward and its not there. it only talks about it in the EVIC area which i do not have. BUt i dont consider this a problem just an inconveniance that i need to learn how to change. SO the car is wonderfull no problems at all

Do you mean your interior lights or your headlights? Im not sure it can be turned off unless there is some kind of trickery you can do with the electrical system which I would never do. I have a Chrysler Pacifica and I had two Chrysler sedans before that (Chrysler and Dodge are the same, I assume you know that) and when I unlock my doors the interior lights come on and then go out by themselves or when the car is turned on. Its a safety/convenience feature. I happen to like it.

I have a Dodge Caliber also and I wondered about that feature but I am alright with it. When I unlock my car doors people always turn and look and say, "Oh That's a Nice Car". So just think of it as a Showstopper Car. Hey our cars are one of a kind. SMILE. Best thing top do about this problem though is to go see the dealer that sold it to you if it is so irritating.

I'm guessing they must have wired it wrong, the interior light inside are suppose to come on. Since you just got the car, and have a warranty call the dealership and keep calling them until they fix it.

Buy the way, I'm also looking into getting a Caliber, besides this small problem, whats you over all review on the car/SUV:)

It's not that they wired it wrong. My dad has a chrysler 300 and its the same thing. Its something chryslers, dodges, and jeeps put into there cars as a feature. nothing to worry about.
