Neither side can produce proof. This is a fact. I made my choice not to believe. Please respect my decision as I respect yours, whatever it is.

I am a christian and I would say that I have no denomination, because I believe we are to be in one accord. What I would like those who are not christians to understand is that there are a lot of people out there who say they are christians who are all into pushing this or that in the faces of others who regardless of exactly what they are and what they believe do not speak for me and I'm getting tired of My god's name being dragged through the mud by pushy people who think they know the absolute truth about this or that and other people saying the exact opposite and just as pushy and saying they Love God and are christians, and apparently thinking they know the exact truth which is different than the afore mentioned group. I think this behavior probably makes Jesus cry.

There are some things open to interpretation, however when someone is interpreting then I think it should be prefaced by,,I BELIEVE, OR IN MY OPINION, and not in a rude it's my way or the highway manner.

b4 I give this example i want the readers to know I am very aware of exactly what scripture says about these areas and believe scripture is without error.

Very pushy people who say they are christians want to amend the constitution to make laws about gay relationships and they get pretty pushy, and yet there is another area the Bible covers as "lets say not a good idea with regards to behavior" called " Whispering" or as many call it today gossiping and what more accurately can be called character assasination. This second form of behavior is just as deadly and runs rampant within the christian church but no one is out there pushing this particualar "sin" as something needing a constitutional amendment. Gossip does every bit as much damage as any other sin in fact it is on the list of behaviors that if a person practices it habitually they can not enter heaven.

My point is this, that there are these who claim to be oh so righteous and they get pushy and get together and swing elections and all that, none of which I think is any more wrong than the other things I discussed
BUT FOR GOD'S SAKE PLEASE DO NOT TELL PEOPLE YOU ARE CHRISTIANS I DO NOT LIKE BEING ASSOCIATED WITH YOU. THERE IS SCRIPTURE WHICH INDICATES YOU SHOULD BE HIDDEN AWAY LIKE A FASHER WOULD BE.

Although I am a Catholic. I prefer to believe in my own way.I don't follow what the church ,or the Bible says in blind faith, but I also do not condemn those who do.I feel that everyone should choose to believe or not to believe in their own way.Religion or a choice not to have a religion is something very personal.Everyone has to do what feels right for them and what they feel is best. I also would not force my belief or non-beliefs on another person. Just because someone does not believe in something I might feel is true or the other way around, doesn't make either of us a bad person.

I used to want Christians to understand that their lack of compassion is what inspired me to think I didn't want anything to do with their God.

Now I want everyone I come in contact to understand that God is bigger than the shortcomings of His people. We're all maturing at different rates, and God isn't stamping anyone out just because we're where we're at.

I also want people to know that heaven is not a foregone conclusion, and no one is guaranteed their next breath. I have one goal in life: to make heaven. I want to be there because Jesus is there.

When John is describing Jesus' features in the Revelation 1:14? I've seen those eyes. I saw them before I even knew this verse of scripture existed. Those eyes burn with the purest, most intense love I have ever seen or experienced before or since. No one will ever know how much He suffered taking on the sins of all mankind and being separated from God because of those sins. Those eyes don't hide the suffering, but it's the love that triumphs over all. That love looked straight through all the hatred, all the bitterness, all the sin, all the blasphemy against God I was participating in. That love looked straight through, reaching the very core of my being, saw it all - and loved me in spite of it all. And that's what inspired me to want to change to be more like Him and less like I used to be.

I just live to see those eyes again.

It's part of why I preach. God commands me in His Word to preach this Gospel that saved me. It's obedience to the faith that keeps me in the race I'm running to reach heaven. I pray for a way to download the love that He has shined into my heart. Some have responded. Many have not. But it doesn't mean I give up. Why? Because God doesn't give up.

I don't participate in organized religion. My parents took us to Sunday School and church. However in my immediate family, it is perfectly acceptable to choose another religion or to choose to not participate in it at all. I am very thankful that my parents did not reinforce any dogma or make any effort to indoctrinate us. You could either take it or leave it. I prefer to think for myself. I have a brain and I prefer to use it. Whatever anybody wants to believe is fine with me.. What really gets me, Spooky, is people who talk about how God is love and how very important it is to love your neighbor, and then proceed to tell you, that if you do not believe the way that they do, you are going to hell. How loving is that? I don't know if God exists. Maybe when we die, there is absolutely nothing. The one thing I want people to understand is that no matter how much they quote the Bible, my mind is not going change since I do not believe in it.

I would like to convey that God is my strenghth but I am not perfect. I usually state that I am no longer fundamental in some issues that religious people take the scriptures out of context, such as divorce, having a baby out of wedlock, etc.. Jesus' geneology line comes from interesting people who were not perfect.

There are so many misconceptions about my religion. I really wish people would learn the facts before they criticize.

If everyone who professed a religion followed it correctly, this world would be a much better place. Which religion preaches intolerance of those who do not believe the same as you? I don't know of any.

I want people to understand that although atheists don't believe they'll be judged by a god after this life it doesn't mean they don't have any morals or discipline in life. Many of us are good people and we do have morals.

Our lives are also not miserable and pointless for not having a god. Some people can live happy, fulfilling lives without ever believing in god even though many theists couldn't imagine living without god. We're just different and no, we are not just pretending or in denial, we really feel like we've found the right path for us in life just like theists feel like they've found the right one for themselves by following their religion.

That i just want to learn about religions without being made to feel I'm a bad person, just because i don't want to become religious myself. It works both ways though i know, and sometimes i haven't respected other peoples beliefs but you learn by mistakes, and im working on that. It would be good to be able to discuss things rationally without arguments.

my personal belief system is mine and consists of a mixture of Christian, Eastern, Ancient Ways and Native American Belief Systems which satisfies me. I try to respect others whose belief systems are different from mine and ask the same respect in return. there are many ways to get to the destination and arriving there is more important than how as GOD is to big to be in only one place. I break no law rule or more in my Religious Belief System so I conform to the culture and society in which I reside.

The concept of chained proof -- that is, I will accept a verse from their holy text as true if they can prove it EITHER -- from external observable sources, OR, from other verses which have previously been proven as such.

Until then, all the threats or temptations of punishments or rewards or cycles will not really much matter to me.

If a theist could understand that, then they could understand me a great deal better, including my atheism.
