I'm not allergic to cats, but I am a doctor, and generally I would not expect to get swollen and bleeding gums in response to a an allergy to cat dander (or, for that matter, anything else). The swollen gums are almost certainly related to something else.
The swollen and bleeding gums may be a sign of many diseases, ranging from simple gingivitis to coagulation disorders to a reaction to medication, and it's impossible for me to tell which it may be from here, so it's probably worth it to see your doctor (and probably your dentist) just to make sure that nothing is wrong.

My symptoms are:
Swollen, itching eyes
Difficulty breathing
Sinus congestion
Sneezing and coughing
I've never had swollen or bleeding gums. That's something for your dentist to check out (sounds like gingivitis).

I do not believe that allergies of any sort cause bleeding, swollen gums. You should make an appointment with your dentist immediately to have those symptoms checked.

No, bleeding and swollen gums are a sign of scurvy, or vitamin C deficiency, among other things. Take a vit C supplement and clean your teeth, and see if it doesn't get better.
