Someone told me In Afghanistan a muslim gets the death penalty if they convert to Christianity.
That is just so fukkin stupid. That along with having your spouse chosen for you, it's like having someone else live your life for you.
No wonder muslims always appear so pi$$ed off at us Westerns, they're jealous of our freedom.

You call this freedom:
Crime, alcoholism, drug addiction, publicly advertised homosexuality, single parenthood, child abuse, domestic violence, decline of family values, rampant divorce rate, and hard pornography

As to answer your question, I think we've seen how many radical extremists live in Afghanistan. They are illiterate and again they DO NOT represent pple in other countries. Educated families in Muslim countries dont dwell on these petty issues. The girls have freedom to choose their husbands (again, im talking about educated, respectable families). The parents can introduce the two but NOBODY can force the girl to marry against her will and you know who gives the women this freedom...ISLAM...not the culture but our religion.
Our religion also gives the women the right to file for a divorce..yes it's considered bad...but the option is there. What you call freedom is not true freedom...

There are many places around the world that consider differing religions to be unlawful and punishable by death. Christianity isn't as universally accepted as many think. However, Christianity is growing more quickly in those nations than most Western ones.
I don't think this is any reason to be angry or hateful toward Muslims specifically.

It is true. It actually happened a year or so ago. A man who had converted to Christianity was going to be put to death. Someone with Amnesty International or the U.N. or something pressured Karzai who stepped in and freed the man, I think - he got the hell out of Afghanistan. But, that is true.

What you have been told is true. Most extreme Muslims hate Christianity and they hate many other things as well. Their philosophies are a bit on the radical side - and a lot of it I just don't understand, especially their views on women. Their Koran teaches them so many things that are not right and yes they hate America's freedom, they hate capitalism and demoracy and the freedom of religions and equality between men and women in our country. Which makes me wonder why they are even in our country to take advantage our welfare systems and SSI if they hate Americans so much.

A lot of the Muslim countries have the death penalty for trying to convert a person to Christianity, or giving them a bible, so it could be true for just being a Christian openly there.

It's true. It's a forced religion unlike Christianity. In Muslim religion man is judge. In Christian religion God is judge.

Are you really going to claim that Muslims are jealous of our freedom and that's why the World Trade towers fell and that's why we're at war? C'mon: do you really believe the "Muslims want to kill us because they covet our freedom" propaganda?
Muslims do not get the death penalty for converting to Christianity.
Muslims have actually been very happy for centuries. Perhaps it has been our meddling with individual state sovereignty that has led many Muslims to not like us...

Voice of the Martyrs magazine has had many stories about this. They aren't upset or afraid that is could cost them their life. The are happy to die for Jesus, and they hope that many come to Christ because of their death.
