You have the right to request nutrition information from the school. Usually schools have managers who are responsible for the lunchrooms and you can talk with that person. New guidelines are in place and most districts are coming into compliance. Speak to those in charge and let them know if you have concerns. Any food establishment may have health issues...like the worm. Speak out and let the administration know.

Most school lunces are not to healthy or at least the main dish like pizza, chickne nuggets, etc stuff like that which are high in fat because a lot of it is fried. i mean if i put a napkin on my pizza at school the oil soaks my napkin. And the quality of the food isnt to high and what sucks is that the price of my school lunches went up. For these reasons i bring a lunch i dont care if im made fun of for it the food is overpriced. You outta see the hot dogs at my school they look kinda green.

Not hardly! The worm was probably the healthiest thing they served.

My son's weekly menu is sooooo predictable: Dominoes, burrito, hamburger, chicken nuggets, and ravioli. Nothing but junk food!

Yes, but off course. They save money as much as they can order their fancy pens for the secretaries. School system wont ever change because administrators are that no food service technicians. They see the numbers, no food they give.

No, I don't believe it is healthy. But then again, what kid wants to eat baked fish, fresh vegetables and fresh fruit?
