I watched my 16 month old son fall head first out of his crib. It was one of the most scariest moments in my life! That was the last day he slept in a crib.
They have crib tents (more like a netting) you can buy to go over the top of the crib. I would not buy it.
It is always recommended that when your child starts to climb in their crib, get rid of the crib. And get a toddler bed, which is what I did.
Hope this helps.

I always worried about this only because all of my friends kids have done this. None of them ever got hurt, but I would be a wreck if I found my infant laying on the floor next to her crib. I was lucky that my daughter never did this and she is now 2 and in a regular bed. We have the mattress set at the lowest level we can set it so that even if she did roll out I think It would be impossible for her to hurt herself. And since my daughter never tired to get out of her crib in the 2 years she was in it, I dont know if I would buy something now that I am due with my second. However if something had been available when my daughter was born? Yes I probably would have bought something to prevent it from happening.

I do worry about my youngest climbing out of the crib however i keep an eye on her stages of development and i will move her into a bed before she gets to the point of being able to climb that well my eldest was in a cot at 13months with only 1 fall this was because of the stupid protectors that are supposed to help the child to stay on the bed waste of money
So No i doubt if i would buy your product sorry

When my son was about 16 months old, he came walking out of his room from his nap - I couldnt beleive what just happened. He managed to climb out of his crib and I didn't even know!
We immediately put him in his toddler bed to prevent any injuries.
There is a product out there that is like a tent/net that you put over the top of the crib to discourage them from climbing out. To me though, I dont think it would stop a determined 16 month old to get out, since it is only a net. I would never buy it. If they are crawling out, then they are ready to move on from the crib.

My son is 22 months old and he has not figured out that he could climb out of his crib yet. I plan to buy him a toddler bed in around Christmas time. But they already do make nets that you put over the top of the crib so they can't climb out.

My son is grown now so I do not have such an issue.
When he was mere months old - perhaps about six to eight, he would sit up and rock the crib until, one day the sitter phoned me at work to say "Ann, the man break down the crib."
I thought she was kidding, so I told her I had work to do and she should not call me for foolishness.
When I got home that evening, the crib was propped up and she was holding him in her arms. She loved him and called him her own, so she thought it was funny. I was shocked.
Of course, nothing happened to him.
Sometime later, he learned to stick his legs out of the bars and push against the wall until the crib reached near to my mother's bed (when she kept him) and then he would climb out on to the bed and go wherever he wanted. She would think he was asleep until he appeared next to her stretching his arms to be lifted.

No, but we don't have a crib. We cosleep instead. :)
I did teach dd how to get out of bed safely as soon as she showed an interest. We practiced turning around and going down feet first. This was around 9 months of age. By 11 months, she was doing it herself (with supervision, of course). She's 22 months old and has never fallen while trying to get on or off the bed.

When she started to make signs that she could climb out of the crib, we moved her into a toddler bed. So, no, I didn't worry about it, we just moved her.
However, she does fall out of the toddler bed once or twice a night, but it's only 3 inches off the ground so she can't hurt herself.

I, personally, remember climbing out of my crib and hitting the floor. My daughter hated her crib so when she started getting strong, we took her out because we knoew it would be a short time before she'd climb out. There is a product called a crib tent. It keeps pets out and babies in. It is scary.

I did worry about it a lot, my son used to climb out regularly and he was only 14 months old when I moved him to a toddler bed b/c of this. I don't think I would buy anything to keep him in, it worked just as well to just move him to a toddler bed.
