Amen! I am part of a Men's halfway house to help men coming from prison to readjust to society again. I have been in leadership at a ministry to feed homeless people also and served in a cleaning ministry too. I served along side others providing food to those who were struggling to stay afloat financially as well as going into the prison(s) and handing out Bibles with the Gideon's. Here I am Lord, use me!

I walked dogs at the local shelter this morning. I teach them to walk on a leash and be good companions. I also brush the cats. This may not seem like serving people, but it did to the family who adopted a rescued dog into their family. This afternoon I will be calling on a woman I know who is home-bound because of health issues. I always say hello to the gardener at our apt. complex and the maintenance man and I exchange plants. A smile and friendly greeting are sometimes the sweetest gift we can give.

There are always people on the street corner begging for money. Instead of giving them money, I give them a bag with some food, hope and love in it. it is part of a project called Project Hopebags that is being practiceds throughout the country.
Details can be found by going to http://www.hopebags.com

why do you assume i am christian and if i am i do for Him by always doing the christian thing, such as help a homeless person, help a kitten and always be there for others.
i also feel that church is not the only place to cherish the Lord. anywhere is fine!

my dad always said he would rather see a good sermon than hear one. try to follow in his footsteps as I helped listen to others and tried to advise them to the best of my ability with the little wisdom and knowledge I have.
