Are you smarter than old albert - What do you think about his views.
I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own — a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotisms."

"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. The religion which based on experience, which refuses dogmatic. If there's any religion that would cope the scientific needs it will be Buddhism."
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein

I use to ask people this same question. It is based on fear. Fear for most. For others, it is the ability to control "the flock". You know, these people who say to themselves "Wow, I can get a lot of money this way and control a whole bunch of weak minded people."
I don't mean to come across as cruel, I just agree with you....And Einstein.

Albert Einstein was a physicist. Not a theologists. He was good and mapping out the universe, but not the meaning behind it. I would go to a mechanic to get my teeth checked. I would to a dentist to get my engine repaired.

I wouldn't go to old Albert for spiritual advice no more that I would go to a priest for help with chemistry.

We have options to choose. Albert is wrong on the religion. Christianity is doing a better job with science than the other organized religions.

Do you reward and punish your children if they are good or misbehaving? God does the same to his children. There isn't a choise. I know it is real. But given a choice I would much rather go to heaven. God is love and loves us very much. I'm sorry you are so misinformed. Peace and love be with you.

I'm Muslim and while I was born Muslim I had to look inside myself to completely know it was right for me. Every person, regardless of what religion, needs to look at their religion and research it. Do not practice it because your parents told you to, practice it because you want to!

You cannot understand concepts of hell and heaven when you don't even understand the concept of God. Christanity, Islam and Judaism will exist until Jesus (pbuh) comes down and says he is not the begotten son and there is no Jewish messiah.

Many people are born into their religion, and never change...

However, if you want to ask why so many people convert to Islam, you may find their testimony very intriguing, and suprising to you...
