Opt for a color-boosting shampoo and conditioner every other day until you achieve the color you want, and then stop. Your salon will have good choices, or you can try a beauty specialty store, which may sell discounted products. Ask your hairstylist to recommend a brand.
Use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner when you wash your hair, once you've achieved the color you want with color-boosting shampoo and conditioner. You can buy all of these at beauty stores or drugstores.
Think about a hair sunscreen, which can protect your hair color from fading. Look for it in spray-on hair protectants. Like Phytoplage Protective Sun Veil, Shiseido Refreshing Sun Protection Spray SPF 16 PA+ for Body/Hair, and Quintessence Q-Sunshade Leave In Hair Conditioner and Scalp Protectant SPF 30.

Well, in the shampoo aisle they have shampoo and conditioners that help keep preserve the hair color. They usually have a tint of color in it. I know John Frieda has one, but cheaper brands also have them too. If not at ur local store, you are goign to have to go to a beauty salon supply store in your area and ask a sales person there. I love red but it fades too fast, try using a different color if you are having trouble keep the red looking fresh. And make sure you keep up with it.Hope i helped.

One thing that I suggest is that you baby your hair. Use one of the new color boosting products (nice and easy works great and is fairly inexpensive). Also I swear by using biosilk. It softens and brightens the hair. It also gives it an incredible shine.
