They dont even touch the subject of universal laws governing us all? They seem to talk of heaven only for those who accept jesus and dehumanising people of other faiths by calling them infidels. They seem very superfluos religions to me. It seems they only want people to accept jesus to strengthen a community. What does heaven or hell have to do with it. Would the planets stop spinning if i didn't accept a name? Join my gang or else don't work on me...

Why organise people to kill or convert the "other" instead of understanding the laws of nature behind it and the existence of both for the survival of both species. If all the carnivores were to kill or convert all herbivores to carnivores and vice versa neither would survive! What is good and what is sin? Karma for self preservation makes more sense!

Structured religion came into power when the masses became large enough to need controlling and to prevent social anarchy. Mass ignorance has and is leading the way for religious organizations to rule.
A pagan friend once told me that only christians worry about hell. Once I thought of it I realized it was true. But the others have a judgement and karma. No matter what you call it. Knowledge and logic are the greatest foes of religion. Relgion and spirituality are not the same thing.
These are men perpetrating these actions on the earth and it is men who are causing all the strife. We would do much better in the US to strive for our forefathers ideas of separation of church and state. If we dont learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. We dont have a new country to declare independence so we have to fix this one.
More people in history have died in the name of some god than any other reason. The world would do well to stop legislating morality and start legislating human rights and common law. Also to abolish any church/state governments. Religion should be a personal matter between a person and their chosen God. Any time religion has become a social issue people die.
Our government is as guilty of religious terrorism as any other and perhaps more so as we are the only super power left in the world. We have the power but we are using it to bully the rest of the world and as historically proven people dont like bullies and they will eventually be defeated. Didnt anyone read "David and Goliath."?
Perhaps you should read more about OUR countries involvement in other countries government & proceedures over the last even 50 yr to understand why the rest of the world MAY be angry with us? Did you know that Bush and his cabinet are depoying navy ships to the Persian gulf once again in preparation for a attack on Iran this time? Dont you wonder how THAT will go over in the middle east muslum world or the rest of the world for that matter? The military is there to uphold the constitution NOT the president ...he is and has overstepped his bounds and needs to be stopped before he and his cabinet bring WWIII on.
That universal law will dictate that every other country in the world will seek to destroy US. Because as long as the present leadership is in place they are threatened. What the Muslim extreemist are doing is only a NATURAL reaction to the threat they perceive. Which is us!

Actually the Qur'an is the first ideology/officially documented laws to give rights to women. At the time Islam was completely revolutionary and people were attacking Islam BECAUSE of women's rights.
And its pretty obvious that Christianity and Islam address all people. Heaven and hell exist for a purpose just like we live on this planet.
If only this world was made so we could play on yahoo answers all day...

This is a misconcieved notion about Christianity that I find many people have. Christianity is about loving, being humble, respecting, and helping people no matter what their beliefs are. I know that if my best friend was to change religions I would still love him the same.
I try to share my faith with people because of the peace and joy it brings me, and I want others to have the same. Not only this, but Christianity makes so much sense to me.
And I would never kill someone just because they did not agree with me.

I am not sure what your question is...but you need to calm down. It is written that "...men are, that they might have joy" That is the purpose of this life...to have joy. Who cares about the rest!!
