Umm,
learnt (lûrnt)
v.
A past tense and a past participle of learn.
That was the definition I found of 'learnt' and to bubbles... don't criticisise my spelling of 'night' when you spell it wrong the second time you write it!
What is the difference between 'learnt' and 'learned'?
These are alternative forms of the past tense and past participle of the verb learn. Learnt is more common in British English, and learned in American English. There are a number of verbs of this type (burn, dream, kneel, lean, leap, spell, spill, spoil etc.). They are all irregular verbs, and this is a part of their irregularity.

I do apologise to bubbles, I misread what she wrote as it is 6.30am here. She still criticised my spelling then made a mistake herself though!
