I'm a single mom too. I've tried a number of things like online dating, church groups, parents without partners singles group, having friends set me up with someone they know etc. There are descent men out there somewhere so, I keep on looking. I haven't had much luck with online dating. The guys that I met, were only looking for one thing or lied to me so, I've stopped online dating. I know you'll find someone, just keep on looking. That's what I'm doing. Good luck!

I say just wait. I am also a single mom with a full time job. I don't go out much either. I just wait patiently. If you go looking for a man you will probably end up with some nut case. But you can meet them anywhere...grocery store, gas station...just let it happen

on line dating is a little strange for me - you could try parents without partners or check your local papers for single events - in my area every Tuesday they list events for singles that cover a wide range of activities such as softball games, volleyball games, dancing, kayaking, movies, broadway shows, cooking, karaoke, comedy clubs - there are also church functions - don't make it your goal to meet a man - maybe you'll also meet a few girlfriends who may have a brother, cousin, etc that is single - just get out there and do the things you like to do.

You pursue your own interests and meet men who share them. Pursue your hobbies and activities with your kids. If a man turns up while you're enjoying you life- great. If not, you haven't wasted your time and emotions trying to "find someone"- you've been busy building a better relationship with the kids, and developing a fun, intersting life.

Depends a lot on your definition of decent. Some might say men who hang around in bars picking up women are less than decent.
