So many questions - do all serial #'s match? Do you have any personal history related to the weapon? Any accessories? Has the original action been altered (i.e., from percussion to metallic cartridge), missing parts, noticeable repairs, etc.?

Do a search on www.gunbrokers.com enter model and year that way you will find out what people are really paying for them..if you take it to a shop they either charge for placing a value on it or offer you a low price trying to buy it cheap. gunbrokers it the EBay for guns. Take it to a Cabela's where the gun experts are and ask them. Not all Cabela's have the experts there so you'll need to call and find out which one to go to.
