I asked previously, most likely few minutes before i posted this question, "what is your opinion about Islam?".
An answer that caught my eye was:
"Not good...the followers claim it is not a violent religion, and each time someone says something they don't like, their first reaction is a call for violence. I don't get it. They didn't like the cartoons on a Danish newspaper, so they blow up buildings and kill people? They don't like what the Pope said, so they riot in the streets? Oh, yes, I see now how this is a peace loving religion."
But my question is here, are those the people who FOLLOW the CORRECT Islam.... or is Islam today forgotten and known by many few??

your question was not phrased correctly. i will give you two answers. islam, as taught by the prophet is a sincere
religion. i do not agree with it but i agree with their right
to believe.
islam as interpreted by some of the leaders today is a
"religion" of intolerance and violence. no one has, in
my opinion, the right to force others to agree with their
view.

It is sad that real peace loving muslims are dead silent in regards to those who are livid and crazed people! Their appears no true leader who can make sense out of it all for those who want to know why? It is also questionable as to why muslims do not tolerate others who do not follow their religion. I mean a live and let live attitude so to speak. There is alot of deep resentment from the muslims for acceptance of them yet they do not need to accept? If this isn't understood, I am sorry for you as well.

I believe we all should celebrate and accept each others differences. Since there are so many extremest throughout the world it will never happen. We are all s.o.l.
